Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge Is Too Precious To Mine

Deadline Has Passed, We Will keep you updated on this issue!

We need all the help we can get to make sure Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is protected from strip mining and not permanently changed forever. Twin Pines Minerals of Birmingham, Alabama has applied to the State of Georgia and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for permits to begin strip mining on thousands of acres adjacent to Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. September 12th is the last day to make your voice heard. Please let the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers know that Okefenokee is too precious to mine and the project needs a thorough Environmental Impact Statement.

Protect The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

Update: The vote on HR 1146 WAs A Success, Thank you for Your Help!

The Trump Administration’s efforts are moving full steam ahead to drill for oil and gas in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. But we have a chance to stop them. This Thursday, September 12th, we expect the U.S. House to vote on HR 1146 - a bill that would restore protections from oil and gas drilling for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Your Representative needs to hear from YOU that you want them to vote in support of HR 1146. They need to know that you oppose drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and they should too.
