Caucus Purpose

Caucuses form in order to address needs that are not yet being met by Congress. Bi-partisan caucuses, such as the Congressional Wildlife Refuge Caucus, unite members from both parties of the House to address issues such as policy and funding for specific issues.

The Congressional Wildlife Refuge Caucus, lead by Co-chairs Ron Kind and Jim Saxton and Vice Co-chairs Mike Castle and Mike Thompson, will raise awareness of our Refuge System, support adequate Refuge System budgets, and ensure the sustained growth of the Refuge System for future generations.  The Congressional Wildlife Refuge Caucus has 146 committed members and is steadily growing.
